Eat High Fiber Fruit

The fiber found in fruit can help you lose weight by giving you that extra full feeling.  A large pear contains 30 percent more fiber than an apple.

Buy Fresh!

Save money and eat fresh.  Take advantage of produce bargains at the large wholesale stores.

Make your List!

Never go to the grocery store without a list accompanying you.  People who make a list and stick to it are less likely to buy items that they don’t need.  They also save money!

Go Green!

Help clean up your community while you jog.  Choose once a week to go eco-friendly.  Grab a trash bag and pick up liter while you are jogging or walking outside.  Decide on somewhere new to walk/jog and enjoy the scenery while you save your community.

Hold the MSG

A recent study found that people who consumed MSG daily are twice as likely to be overweight than those who rarely eat it.  The reason may be that MSG lowers the levels of leptin, metabolism and hunger regulating hormone.  MSG is a flavor enhancer and may be used in restaurants without you knowing it.  Ask to hold the MSG.  On food labels it is “hydrolyzed protein”.
